Class:
This week after spring break in class we did a lot of interesting things. One of them it was discussed the ways to go about our next assignment. I-Search Paper. how we are going to start finding the topic and the material to make our paper in a great research. Also we discussed about subtext, text and context after looking at a photography the professor shared with us. this was with the purpose of bringing us back to context after our spring break. I have to accept I like the photography and the discussion that it brought up because it gives us different point of view about how we see the world and how strong are our beliefs, plus reminded us the differences between context, text and subtext in ay composition. This day in class everybody was super fluent and wanted to share their thoughts about the photography, the context, what is behind and the background, the message-subtext and what we see-the text of the picture. The class after this one we watched a great movie "food matters" which brought me many questions about the way I'm eating and my health. This documentary is a shocked way to realize how bad the habits of eating are in the world and how the companies take advantages of that. One of the things that make me feel better was that I consider my eating habits are not that bad because I don't like to eat many of the food the documentary mentioned and the way I've been raised its been different, but the struggle of being in another country with another habits is challenging for me to keep up my healthy eating. however, The impact of the context is bigger than the personal belief.
Home: ( outside world)
i think of my grandpa everyday, but his week it was a little bit more intense. watching all this movies about cancer, food and all the medical and nutritional information made me remember him. he dies for stomach cancer. My grandpa is such a great man, yes I said IS because for me he always will be a live, I do believe that people die when people stop to remember them, otherwise they always are here. my grandpa taught me many things that made me the person I am, he was a strong influence in my life. Everyday I remember the crucial moment when he decided to leave us, many questions come to me all the time, but at the same time a relief of what a shared with him because even if i could have done more, I think I do enough no to leave myself with regrets, of course always will be many reasons and possibilities that i could have done and would have shared with him. always those thoughts are going to be there. Anyway. Besides this another thing that this movie moved in me was start to question my eating habits. I finished the movie at home and also i watched food inc. another documentary about the impact of the food, shows how the companies manage the distribution of the food and also show us what we are eating.
