"What we eat is central to our health" one of the main statements of this article about how important is what we feed to our body and the impact it has in our body as well. Food is information we give to our body to work and response the best way we need. All the food is consider information the body use to process and reacts, the lack of good or natural food is taken like wrong information which will be a virus into our system what will make it fail and causes us diseases. All this wrong information we our feed it our body is causing diseases such as overweight, diabetes and heart disease because the lack of the nutrients and nutrition an essential source for our physical functioning .
"Nutrients are the nourishing substances in food that are essential for the growth, development and maintenance of body functions. Essential meaning that if a nutrient is not present, aspects of function and therefore human health decline. When nutrient intake does not regularly meet the nutrient needs dictated by the cell activity, the metabolic processes slow down or even stop." In other words, nutrients give our bodies instructions about how to function. In this sense, food can be seen as a source of "information" for the body.
The article also mentions why we need to care about the nutrient in our body and the connection the food has with our bodies and our health. As the numbers , statistics and information can say and show us about the huge problem of nutrition in this country and all the issues this is leading us. And the food we eat is an important factor in that dysfunction, in part because our diets lack the necessary balance of nutrients.
I found this article interesting because show me the importance of having healthy eating habits, and of everything what we are eating is causing us illness and death. we don't know the big damage we our doing to our body with the food we eat and the way we feed the body; the lack of exercise is another factor that doesn't help to regulate and balance our lifestyle. After reading this article, I wondered how much information people need to know to start taking care of their bad habits?. If all this information is outside why we are still dying for heart disease and high cholesterol and all kind of illness as a result of eating unhealthy. I would like to dive more into the real causes why we are eating the way we are and why we haven't done anything to change this habits if the information is out there already. why is the main factor that determinate people behavior relate to eating habits. If health is a business, eating is a business, and dying is also a business , its more important the money than the society because at some point the deaths would be more than the income. or its anyway to stop al this industries of providing us a poor quality food.?. there are a lot of question and points of discussion that can be taken from this simple article. its such a wide and cultura subject that everybody is aware of and at the same time are blind by.
